Santa Clara Summer in September

September 01, 2017

There are only 22 days left in the season of summer. While the weather remains warm for most of October, now is the time to complete your outdoor activities.

Though there may be a ton to do in-and-around the Santa Clara area, here are two festivals to check out this month.

Bark in the Park

Not too far from your Santa Clara apartment is the largest dog festival in the U.S. On average, there are 3,900 dogs and about 15,000 dog lovers.

Here you will find over 75 vendors providing goods and services along with low cost vaccines and $5 Microchipping–sponsored by PAWS 4 SJACS.

There will also be a handful of contests including a Look-Alike contest and a Costume contest. For only $5, this September 16th event whose proceeds go to a few local pet organizations, is sure worth it.

Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival

The 41st Annual Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival will be near your Santa Clara luxury apartment on Sunday, September 17th from 10:00am to 6:00pm. This festival is a fundraising event presented by the Almaden Valley Women’s Club.

For those who may not know, the Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival has been voted one of the best festivals in San Jose and has been a tradition since 1976.

You will be sure to find entertainment, boutique wines from Northern California, local artisans, food trucks, and even carnival games and rides making it an event for everyone. Oh, and the best part is that admission is free!

Now you have a couple of ideas on how to spend the last 22 days of summer. Enjoy!
